What are the levels of English proficiency?
Entry level for people who have not studied English. At this level, the student understands basic phrases and the teacher’s instructions. Students can speak in a very simple way and form incomplete sentences without grammatical context.
The pupil improves his/her ability to construct and write simple sentences and understand expressions related to this level. Students can also converse on simple topics and use vocabulary equivalent to A2 level.
At this level, students absorb the essential information they are being told, but can often have difficulty expressing themselves fully. Students can read and write simple texts and hold a conversation on topics they are familiar with.
Pupils are already able to understand the main ideas of a more difficult text and can think spontaneously, but their grammar and vocabulary are often limited.
Pupils understand almost everything, including complex expressions. At this level, students can produce complex texts and use the language in academic and professional contexts, as well as communicate fluently with native speakers.
